August 2026 Updates

  • Removed placeholder from search box and added auto-complete.
  • Fixed Elementor accordions and quotes by removing unecessary aria-labels and added proper role attributes.
  • Password protected area fix to include a Main area and bypass method.
  • CookieYes banner addition (tested but limited editing capabilities). Known issue with NVDA to not auto-focus on the settings dialog box.

Website Development

This website was made by Jessica Oddi with Elementor Pro, Advanced Custom Fields, and WordPress. Followed WCAG 2.2 (Web Content Accessibility Guidelines) Level AA as a base. As well as adding community practices for large text, soft transitions, and simplicity.

Accessibility Testing

Jess tested the site with the following techniques and technologies:

  • Browsers: Chrome, Firefox, Safari, and Edge.
  • Devices: Mac and Windows desktop, Samsung, iPhone, and iPad.
  • Screen Readers: VoiceOver, NVDA, Narrator, and TalkBack.
  • Alternate Navigation: Voice Control and Voice Access.
  • Manual: Keyboard-only navigation, zoom, high contrast, and color filters.
  • Automated: ARC Toolkit and WAVE (Web Accessibility Evaluation Tool).

Disability Revolution conducted additional testing by paying peers with lived disability experience to review and share feedback on the site’s accessibility.
